During the 2020 lockdowns in the UK many charities and non-profit organisations had to find new ways of supporting people without face-to-face contact.
Southern Brooks Community Partnerships and South Gloucestershire Dementia Action Alliance who usually run ‘Memory Cafe’ events came up with the idea to send out activity packs with all kinds of different sensory stimulous and fun things to do for people living with Dementia in Bristol and the surrounding areas.
As part of a team of volunteers, I helped with the ideas, planning and creation of the arts & crafts parts of these activity packs including using skills in graphic design to produce a printable ‘Listography’ notepad and ‘Conversation Tree’ exercise.
